Slack
Ask Meta Agent questions in Slack using your Radiant identity and project permissions.
Use Meta Agent from Slack to investigate your project’s activity in a channel or direct message. A Slack thread holds one investigation, so follow-up questions retain its context.
Connect the workspace
Section titled “Connect the workspace”Select the project your Slack workspace should use. An owner or admin opens Settings → Integrations → Slack and completes installation. The workspace connects to that project, and the installer’s Radiant account is linked automatically.
Invite the app to the channel where you want to use it. Other participants must link their own accounts before their questions can run: in Radiant, open Settings → Your settings → Integrations and choose Link my account while signed into an account with access to the connected project.
An unlinked participant receives a private linking prompt. Radiant does not execute the question under the installer’s identity while waiting for the participant to link.
Investigate in a thread
Section titled “Investigate in a thread”Mention the app in a channel where it has been invited, or send it a direct message. Include the request identifier, time range or behavior you want to investigate. The first answer provides Open in Radiant for the full conversation and its evidence. Reply in the same Slack thread to continue, or start another thread for a separate investigation.
Each question uses the asking participant’s current project access, tool connections, and permissions. Only that person can approve, deny, or stop its turn. Review Connected tools and approvals before permitting actions on external systems.
Slack thread history can be truncated or unavailable. Restate an important identifier or decision if a follow-up depends on context the agent no longer has.
Understand visibility
Section titled “Understand visibility”Answers and tool results posted in a channel are visible to that channel. Use a direct message for a personal investigation. Channel investigations do not recall private Radiant conversations from elsewhere.
The corresponding Radiant conversation is initially private to its creator. Slack participation does not grant dashboard access, and changing Radiant sharing does not change messages already posted in Slack. Messages added only in Radiant are not automatically sent back to the Slack thread.
Disconnect access
Section titled “Disconnect access”Use Unlink my account under Your settings → Integrations to stop future requests through your Slack identity. An administrator can use Disconnect from [workspace] to stop dispatch and attempt to revoke the app token. Uninstalling the app removes the installation and account links.
Existing conversations retain their Radiant visibility rules. Disconnecting does not delete Slack messages.
